This is a small, free workshop geared toward those who are new to their digital cameras or are still shooting mostly in automatic mode (the GREEN BOX), with tips and information geared specifically towards how to capture beautiful images of kids. We will cover basic photography terms and settings on your camera, introduce some composition pointers, and give you practice as you learn (with real models!). NOTE: This workshop is not for those individuals that have, or wish to start, their own photography business (whether it be an “on the side gig” or a full time job), but simply for those who want to learn more about their cameras.
The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, January 19th, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Northwest Presbyterian Church.
It’s free! Amy and Sarah are excited to offer this class as a service to the church. :)
You must have a DSLR camera (a DSLR camera is a digital single lens reflex camera and uses interchangeable lenses)–no point-and-shoot cameras for this workshop. Any brand of camera is welcome.
WHAT TO BRING:
– Camera (be sure that your battery is charged and you have plenty of space on your memory card–we will be shooting!)
– Lens(es)–if you have more than one, bring them all
– Camera Manual (A MUST!)
– Pen & Paper (for notes)
– Your questions!
– Lite refreshments will be provided.
Registration for the workshop opens TODAY! To register for the workshop, you must email firstname.lastname@example.org
